challenge corp. news
April 2008
Ironman Australia has been run and won by Patrick Vernay and Chrissie Wellington. The Challenge Corp. had quite a few campers out racing and didn't they deliver the goods!
Ollie Whistler pushed hard and was awarded with an 18-24 AG win (9:28) and a ticket to the big island. Scott Milson smoked a very fast first time result going 9:38. Glen Davies posted a 9:39 and took 3rd in 40-44 and is also going to Kona. The Challenge Corp. John Mergler was 3rd in the 45-49 AG (9:43) after a dubious drafting call but got his ticket for the show. Brenton Yates has without a doubt put the yards in both in training and at the camps and took a tad over an hour off his 2007 time going 9:57. Peter Craig went 10:45 in his first Ironman.
Good work guy's and we look forward to greater things to come.
